I've been using Dynamics CRM 4.0 for several years and recently upgraded to CRM 2015 Online. We use Contracts extensively and renew them annually. I understand how to renew individual contracts one at a time, but that is very painstaking when you have hundreds to go through. I have not found a way to mass-renew multiple contracts.
So far, I've come up with using a Data Import to import contracts and then contract lines attached to those newly created contracts. However, this presents two casualties:
1. The Contract ID (or referred to as the Contract Number) changes, whereas we want this to stay the same between the original contract and the renewed ones.
2. The Originating Contract field does not populate, despite me uploading that field with the GUID of the original contract in my data import.
Is there an easier way to go about this?
