I am trying to do a mass re-import to populate the manager field for all users where the manager field is blank. The import was successful, but when I clicked on an actual record, the manager field is still blank. The manager field is usually unlocked when creating a new user and gets locked once the user is set up. I check the form properties, there is no lock on this field. Also there is no process to lock this field. I tried Business rules to unlock the field, but unsuccessful. There is no field security and auditing is enabled. The only way i can update the manager field is clicking on the ellipsis button and changing the manager ( just like how we reassign records).. I cannot be doing this for 450 user where manager is blank.
How do I solve this? Please advise.
