Need help from experts for opening Quick view form in modal window

I am in the need of some solution for opening quick view form in modal window with selected rows record. Is this possible?

How can I open a record in the quick view form using modal window?

As i was referring this url thread which says not possible for the same. Pls let me know if any alternate ways to achieve it.
