Here is the situation
1. Set up an access team for Account with Read/Write permissions
2. Make sure that Account-Lead, Account-Opportunity Out of Box (OOB) relationships exist. As per this relationship, members of the Account access team can have access to leads/opportunities associated with the account regardless of the BU's
3. Both Account-Lead and Account-Opportunity relationships are defined on the customerid field.
4. This is fine. However, the issue is customerid field is populated OOB for opportunities but not for leads!
5. So, account access team members can see all opportunities associated to the account regardless of the BU's but not leads
Shouldn't Lead/Opportunities behave the same way ideally? So, is not populating customerid on Lead OOB is a bug?
Note: customerid is hidden for both lead and opportunity entity.
