I have 2 custom entities to house orders with line item details Which are fed to CRM through an integration with another system. We chose not to use the OOTB Order entity because we didn't need the complexities that came with it since there is no interaction with the orders in CRM - they are basically for view only purposes.
Currently, the other system is only feeding a status (Status Reason) to CRM for each line item in the order. We would like to have an overall order status using the Status Reason field for the order. The overall order status would be dependent on the particular status combination on the various order line item records attached to the order record.
I was hoping to use a check condition in an Order workflow to check the condition of the related order line detail records, but list of related records to choose from appears to only include the N:1 related entities and not the 1:N related line item entity.
Is there a way to allow for the check condition to work on the 1:N related entity? Or does anyone have ideas on how else I might achieve this?
Incidentally, we are on CRM 2015 (7.1) online.
