Entity list behind the "New Record" button on the Global Search results page

Hi,

my question is pretty simple:

how can we control the entities shown behind the "New Record" button on the Global Search results page?

I thought it was the same list of entities that is configured in the Settings - Administration - System Settings - General - "Select Entities for Search", but it's not.
