We are using Microsoft CRM, and despite a number of issues, I have been working with it for a while. One thing I do is to keep track of customer communications. Typically a customer contacts us and someone will take the first contact and create a task for me with "regarding" set to the customer link. I will work on this and once done change the due date to a date when I need to contact them again, and save the task. In the past this has worked fine. At the desired date, the tasks pops up again, and I can follow-up. This has worked for me.
A few days ago, though, I noticed that some of my tasks were missing the "regarding" link. It seems that whenever I change the due date, the link goes missing. That's problem, as it is often not clear from the task alone who it refers to. In other words, I end up with tasks I cannot relate to a contact. That is really bad ...
I have already tried to delete the organization in Outlook and add it again. Didn't help.
Has anybody seen this behavior? And what is the cause of it?
