We have a particular scenario we observed after upgrading to CRM 2015 UR 0.1 from CRM 2013 SP 1 regarding the privileges associated to opportunity product.
Deployment Type : On-Permise
My understanding is that opportunity product doesn't have separate security role in CRM and it inherits the privilege from Opportunity.
Scenario:
We have a security role called CBS which doesn't have delete privilege on Opportunity and hence they dont have delete privilege on opportunity product. This was working in CRM 2013.
After upgrading to CRM 2015 we found that this role is getting delete privilege on opportunity product. While debugging I observed that when I removed the "Append To" privilege on Opportunity Entity then the delete icon on opportunity product is gone. Even user level privilege on Append To privilege on Opportunity Enables the delete privilege in Opportunity Product.
I created an OOB organization and tested this with the OOB role called Schedule Manager and observed the same behavior. Is this a know issue with CRM 2015 UR 0.1 ?
Any help/guidance is highly appreciated. Adding screenshots of the schedule manager role and the behavior I observed in an OOB organization
