We are having an issue using the Dynamics 365 app for Outlook and connecting this to our Dynamics organisation. We have checked all pre-requisites and ensured these were in place and had the app working with Outlook one month ago but it is no longer working,
The issue is when clicking on the Dynamics 365 tab in an email for the first time in a session an IE window pops up asking the user to enter their username and password - entering this should allow the user to connect to Dynamics and when this worked previously entering your credentials in this IE window made the window close, connected Outlook to Dynamics and allowed you to use the app functionality within Outlook without having to log in again.
When we now click on the Dynamics 365 tab in Outlook we see the screen above, a new IE window opens but rather than the ADFS login page we saw previously to enter user credentials this page is opening with a 404 error - this means we cannot enter user credentials so are unable to connect Outlook and Dynamics so cannot use the app at all.
We are keen to get this app rolled out to all users to allow them to access Dynamics features within Outlook and be able to track emails and quickly create Dynamics records but are unable to proceed given this issue. Any ideas welcome as we are desperate to resolve this as soon as we can and make use of the app.
The users who have tested this have had all the pre-requisites set up in Dynamics for their user role, mailbox, had the app enabled and added to their Outlook but still we cannot get it to work.
We have Dynamics 365 v8.2.1.176 (on premises) and use Outlook 2013 (version 15.0.4569.1503) and use Exchange 2013 (on premises) updated to CU17. We have ADFS set up and IFD configuration and external URLs to access our Dynamics environment are working as they should.
