Access permission is not working

hi all,

In my organization we use an access permission by teams, it means that all opportunities are owned by the teams, not by the users.

so all the salesmen can see all opportunities from their teams, it used to work, but I don't know why it is not working anymore. The working scenario is this:

the salesmen from one team, should not see the opportunities or the accounts from the other team.

but now the salesmen are seeing some opportunities from some other teams, and receiving the "access denied" message when seeing some of the records from their own team, but when they click "ok" the CRM allows them to update the record.

I can't see how is this possible, I tried dissociating the user from all teams, and them reassociating to the teams they should be a part of, and it did not work, I'm really confused right now. I hope someone can help me.
