I have a user who is unable to configure CRM for Outlook with CRM Online. He does not have any issues installing CRM for Outlook. He will pick CRM Online and is prompted to sign in. He then successfully enters his credentials and the processing begins. After about 20 seconds, he gets the following error:
Error connecting to Microsoft Online Services Endpoint using UPN *****.*****@*****.co.uk Exception: Microsoft.Crm.CrmException: password_required_for_managed_user: Password is required for managed user ---> Microsoft.IdentityModel.Clients.ActiveDirectory.AdalException: password_required_for_managed_user: Password is required for managed user
- At first I thought it was a Windows 8.1 issue but the same thing occurs with Windows 7.
- Others users work as expected.
- This user can sign in to CRM Online using a browser and the mobile app
- This user is global admin
What is a "Managed User" and how can enable this user to configure CRM for Outlook?
