Setting a default values on account form

The account form in our environment has a field called currency. Prior to the minor update that took place in Sept2015, the only and default value was US Dollar. Now for some users, US Dollar has to be selected each time the account screen is accesses.

We are using MS CRM 2015 Online. Is there a setting on the form that could have changed with the update, or could there be a setting in CRM that has changed? I looked at the user's CRM options and US Dollar is the default value.
