Can you split a dynamic worksheet in more files before import?

I have exported a large database of information from CRM. I have completed a newly created field and now I want to import it back to save the changes.

But it gives me an error, saying that the file is to large for import.

My question is:

Can I split the file in 2 or more files, containing parts of the records while keeping the links between the data? In other words, if I split it and import the files after that, will this import still update the right records?
