Have a couple of questions regarding the Scheduling Assistant and general scheduling that I was not able to figure out from either your courses or by playing around in my demo org.
My prospect has a scenario where the work order duration would be 2 days (or 16 hours) in all. The human resources configured have work times set from 9:30 am to 6:00 pm with a lunch break from 1:15 pm to 1:45 pm in between. I would have expected the scheduling engine to schedule the resource for such a work order in 4 chunks over 2 days:
9:30 am to 1:15 pm(Day 1)
1:45 pm to 6pm(Day 1)
9:30 am to 1:15 pm(Day 2)
1:45 pm to 6 pm(Day 2)
However, the scheduling assistant is not able to find any resources at all unless “Ignore Duration” is checked
What is the guideline from FieldOne to handle such work orders of larger duration spanning multiple days?
To add to the complexity, the same work order of 2 days duration needs to be assigned to multiple resources (2 human resources and 2 equipments)
I would really appreciate if you could provide help with the above queries as I have a demo scheduled with the prospect this week and the above situations would definitely come up.
