CBA and IFD Configuration - DNS A Entries and federationmetadata

Hello everyone,

i found a documentation (www.interactivewebs.com/.../how-to-set-up-crm-2015-ifd-on-windows-2012-and-adfs-3-0) to set up CBA and IFD. it is said, that you have to create entries inside the DNS like this:

  1. sts1.domain.com
  2. auth.domain.com
  3. dev.domain.com
  4. Your ORG name.  org.domain.com (Where ORG is the CRM deployment name of your organization or organizations), e.g.
  5. crm2015.iwebscrm15.com (We usually set up a dev environment with CRM2015 being the year of the version. Just something we select to do).
  6. adfs.domain.com (used for reference to the ADFS server)
  7. one for the root domain so that domain.com points to the same server. (This is for the ADFS logout URL)

which shall point directly to the IP Adress. After the installation of the AD FS i am not able to connect to the url https://adfs.MYDOMAIN.local/federationmetadata/2007-06/federationmetadata.xml

where should i start troubleshooting for that error? i am asking this here, because my IIS and DNS actually work - i mean this configuration is recommended to create CBA and IFD, right?

all my services run properly and i also have no certificate error or something like that.
