This issue has me beating my head against the wall; I have no idea what the problem is.
I am trying to export customizations from a CRM 2016 On-Premise instance. MSFT has changed how Solution Management works with Dynamics CRM 2016. As I have added the necessary and required entities/customizations to the Solution, I am greeted with the "Select Entity Assets to Include in the solution" and I work my way through it by selecting "Include entity metadata" and "Add All Assets".
I click the finish button. Now this is where I think my work is done; it's not.
As I start the process of exporting the Solution, I am greeted with the "Missing Required Components" Dialog. The problem with this dialog is that it is listing all items that I have already included in my Solution.
My next step to solve this situation is to Entity-by-Entity click the "Add Required Components" button. Complete the task and click Export Solution and get the same problem. Go to step 3.
Step 3 consists of clicking the "Add Subcomponents" button. This is the same dialog that I was greeted with when "adding the necessary and required entities/customizations to the Solution." I see an issue now where some entities (custom and OTB) are no longer selected to "Add All Assets". The option is unchecked and read-only. Therefore, I have to select all assets manually, selecting all options in the tabs and continuing.
Eventually, I complete this task (again), then try the export again.
Again, I am greeted, now rather unpleasantly, with the "Missing Required Components" dialog.
What am I missing? I'm starting to get a headache and become dizzy.
