Share accounts based on a custom attribute change

I have a custom entity – brand – which is a foreign key on Account. Each brand has a team (owner type); that is, team is a foreign key to brand.

On change of an account’s brand I need to un-share the account with the current brand’s team and share the account with the new brand’s team.

Any ideas on doing this without a plug-in or any custom code?
