MS Dynamics CRM Online 2015 Web Services

We have set up a 30 day evaluation of CRM and are interested in investigating how we can integrate between our web apps and CRM. I have installed the Visual Studio QuickStart solution to look at the available web services but I get a problem when I try to run it.

Metadata contains a reference that cannot be resolved: 'disco.xxxxxxxxxxxxx.crm4.dynamics.com/.../Discovery.svc;sdkversion=7.1'.

I've tried to browse to

https://disco.XXXXXXXXXXXXX.crm4.dynamics.com/XRMServices/2011/Discovery.svc?wsdl&sdkversion=7.1

and got a dns error

and

https://XXXXXXXXXXXXX.crm4.dynamics.com/XRMServices/2011/Discovery.svc?wsdl&sdkversion=7.1

and got a generic CRM error page.

I've also tried using the wcfTestClient to see the web services but without any success.

Any suggestions on what I'm doing wrong?
