I am aware from other blogs/forums this is a known issue with mail merging multi-line quotes. But I thought I would ask if anyone had came up with a resolution?
I have created a "dynamic" mail merge quote template, with the ability to hold 6 product lines. So that means 5 <<Next Record>> commands. The problem appears when you mail merge a quote with less than 6 products, it prints out the product lines in the quote but after the last product i.e. when it reaches the <<Next Record>> command and there is no more products, it shuts off all printing of subsequent mail merge fields.
Resulting in all the usual fields at the end of a quote being blank i.e. Total Amount.
This problem is rectified when you adjust the number of <<next>> commands to the number of lines printed in the quote, but this isn't dynamic and not possible due to the number of quotes going through this given system.
Is placing all the other mail merge fields above the product lines still the only resolution?
