In one of our implementations, We are exploring cloud options from existing on premise CRM 2013 and CCA solution.
We are currently doing a small POC to explore if a plain vanilla CCA can work with D365 online.
However we got stuck as CCA framework would require to import CCA framework managed solution (UiiForMicrosoftDynamicsCRM2011_1_0_managed.zip) on cloud but, as this baseline solution was built specifically for CRM 2011 or earlier version, it refused to get import directly on cloud.
It might sound weird to be working on obsolete CCA on latest D365 online but from business continuity aspects, we would need CCA application to work immediately post the entire CRM 2013 is upgraded to on cloud dynamics 365. We can then in parallel work towards moving client as well to USD but that would eventually take a while.
