We have two 2012 R2 servers.
One is running Dynamics CRM 2016 on Prem and the other is the Active Director etc.
Up until today it was all working perfectly, we installed Federation server onto the AD server in the hopes of getting the apps working and we lost access to Dynamics.
If we connect to it externally using a neighbours wifi it works as expected but we can not log into it from within the same network as it is hosted on.
I get the error ERR_INVALID_AUTH_CREDENTIALS when trying and eventually it fails.
I tried to run a repair on Dynamics and it fails with the error "Host header 'our external address URL' configured on selected site does not resolve to an IP address that is assigned to the local system. This conflict must be reconciled for CRM Server to function properly."
We un-installed Federation Server and put everything back as before (we think) but we are still stuck...
I have a feeling this is a DNS issue but I can't work it out. We can access our local server externally without any problems and it all works as expected but we can not access it using the either the local IP address as a URL or the external URL that hits an A record and comes back to our external address.
Any help or pointers would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Carl.
