I want to globally update a group of 150+ contact records whose company email address domain have all changed. I can select the records using a wildcard to find those where the domain is wrong, but the change multiple records form doesn't seem to allow wildcards to be used in making changes. Is that correct?
For example if records are of the email address form "john.smith@abc.com" I can select all the "abc" domain addresses by using "*@abc.com" as my advanced find search criteria, but then I can't use "*@def.com" (for example) to replace them with a new domain extension - the global edit function just replaces their actual email address with that string.
Am I missing something or is there no way to globally replace a substring of text contained within a field for a group of records?
