How can you change the field widths of the fields under sales processes?

Hi

I was wondering if it is possible to change the width of the fields that sit under the individual sales stages on an opportunity form? As these are added to a form in the same way other fields are (and then you can edit the properties that way), I just wondered if you are able to edit the widths another way?
