We are setting up a new environment of CRM Online\2016 and Exchange Online in the same tenant using server-side sync which is a supported solution by Microsoft.
Our issue is we are receiving "The mailbox location could not be determined while receiving email. The mailbox xxxxxxxx didn’t synchronize" errors.
Since our Exchange Online subscription is in the same tenant as our CRM Online subscription, CRM Online created a default Exchange Online profile for the email connection. Once created the profile options do not allow one to change the Auto Discover Server Location, which we believe to be our issue to resolve the mailbox location error.
So we tried to create a new Exchange Online Profile but the create screen with the option to change or add incoming and outgoing mail servers refreshes after about a second and disappears. I was able to grab a screen shot before it disappeared, and the CRM defaults to "No" for Auto Discover Server Location.
If it defaults to "No" then how can one enter the Incoming and Outgoing Server Locations per this kb?
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2972143
The kb says to enter the Exchange Web Services in the Incoming and Outgoing Server locations, as follows: "If you are using Exchange Online, the URL is https://outlook.office365.com/EWS/Exchange.asmx
As mentioned, the Email Server Profile setup screen does not allow one to enter this URL. Has anyone seen this and how did you resolve it?
