I'm having an issues setting up an email template for our users to send out to existing clients. Our CRM (Online 2015) is set so that contacts are listed as the Topic or Client and Accounts are set as the Potential Customer.
We're trying to create an email template to send out to our past closed opportunities. The issue we're having is that the system wants to send the email to the Account (Potential Customer) of the Opportunity, though we need it sent to the Contact associated with that opportunity since that's our real client in the transaction. The Account record is the company we bill for services but we don't need, nor want to email them.
We even looked at setting up the email template to to be associated with the Contact record but the issue is that we need the email to pull data from the Closed Opportunity to fill in the template.
Is there any way to make the system send the email to the Contact record of an Opportunity?
