Auto-populate options on lookup fields

Hi,

We have recently loaded some data in a custom entity table having 2 Primary keys (PKs) A and B. The table had an existing record having value say A1 and B1 for the PKs. That was inactive. Now we have added A1 and B2 to the table and re-activated A1-B1 record and also renamed A1 as A1_IA.

Now on the CRM UI, this is a lookup field. When we key in the value A1 in the lookup field, without searching in the lookup, the cache shows two values for A1 although the re-activated record is A1_IA. Why is this so? How can the cache be rebuilt? We have already tried iisreset.
