I'm trying to get records that are filtered according to the same field (activitycategory) but different values, when I add more than one condition on the same value I get zero results, this is my code,is there a way to filter according to multiple fields or should I run a new query for each condition:

Hi!

Our process involves replying to customer emails with the case number in the subject line through outlook. But because the Subject line has changed, the smart matching system in CRM no longer links the email to the case anymore and you have to manually link it.

I've tried playing around with the Smart Matching settings but it has not helped.

Is there a way I can get this to work? It's very time consuming to link emails manually to support cases.

So the process is: Case gets created automatically in CRM from external email. Support emails back the case number to the customer by adding it to the subject line. The outlook plug-in no longer links the email to the case because the subject has the case number in it.

If we don't change the subject line, it tracks the email correctly.

Hi ,

I am getting an error in the dynamics 365 for phones app that says "This part of the form can't be displayed.Please contact your administrator.". I see this error when trying to view activities . I have already checked the link below and ruled out default/inactive view issue and i logged in as a system admin . Can someone tell me what else might be causing this error ? TIA

hi guys,

we have develop one html page with Bing Maps and some html controls and we create one web resource-with the same html page in Dynamics 365 CRM instance. while we open this web resource in android dynamics 365 app its works but when we open same web resource in iPhone dynamics 365 app it work very slow as compare to android.

any info help us to understand why it happen.

Hi CRM Peers,

I am facing an interesting issue. We have a production exchange mailbox which is configured with an email address through which all my customers send emails to my customer service team to resolve the issues.

As part of it, i have synchronized the mailbox with one of my CRM queue using server side sync. After i do test & enable, i see continuous inflow of emails from the mailbox to CRM. I am assuming, the mailbox is synchronizing all the emails it received till date to CRM. 

My question is "Is it possible to only synchronize emails that the exchange mailbox received from now on (neglecting the old emails mailbox received) into CRM? That way i am not creating a case for all old emails received by mailbox in CRM.

Hi,

I am trying to find a method that fetches one record with filter condition. IOrganization service has retrieve and RetrieveMultiple methods.

I know my result set contains only one record but at the same time i dont want to pass the Guid to Retrieve method, i have a where condition that i am evaluating. Is there any thing that i can use to retrieve the record with QueryExpression of fetchXml query ? I cannot pass the QueryExpression or fetchXml to IorganizationService Retrieve method or i just need to rely on RetrieveMultiple method?

I have a workflow I would like to "copy".

I do this by deactivating workflow - and then change into process template - and then activate it.

Then I create new process - workflow - on the same entity type. But I can't see activated template on the list.

Am I missing something or is this a bug in On-Prem 2016?

Hi all,

Before v9, whenever a users clicked a phone nr, a phone activity would be generated. Is there a way to get this behavior back in Dynamics 365 for phones?

Hello there,

Just wondering if how does "Publish on" and "Expiration Date" behave. What will happen to the article if Expiration date was met?

Question 1: Tried to test this Expiration Date feature but nothing happened. We were still able to view the article in Portal ESS. Also, what's the specific field will be updated once the article has expired? Is it the Status reason? If yes, how come I only see 3 available values namely 1. Published 2. Needs review and 3. Updating. I was assuming to have some sort of "Expired" option here.

Question 2: What's the specific field that will be updated when Publish on was met? would that be the "Status Reason"? And if we were planning to use this feature what should be the initial value for Status reason? Currently it only has Published, Needs review, and Updating.

Please enlighten me.

Can anyone confirm the mechanism that the CRM Async Service uses to access CRM data when running on premise with the Async and Sandbox Service running on the back end servers? 

I have always believed that the backend service used the OrganizationWebService on the front end servers for data access and therefore any full trust (unisolated) plugins that get triggered by an Async Service org service request would execute on the front end server.

However, we are seeing evidence that makes it look like the Async Service connects to some OrganizationWebService container on the same backend server and that the plugins execute in that unisolated plugins execute in that context which displays in the local error logs as MSCRMWebService. 

I don't see any definitive documentation. I'm running v8.1 on premise.

Any insights appreciated!

A sql exception when import a V8.1 solution to V9. It complains a primary key 'new_testid' of a custom entity called "test"was specified multiple times for 'Filterednew_test'.

Any help will be much appreciated!!!

I have Data export Services installed on my tial version of Dynamics 365 online. Previously I had been attempting to create an export profile following the steps here - https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/mt744592.aspx#shouldknowDES.  Today when I select settings then data export service it is directed to a url

 but the create profile screen does not appear instead I get a message "Discovery Failed. See Console Logs for Details".  I have installed the serivce again but continue to get this message.

Not sure where to look to resolve the error.

I am using Dynamics 365 with App for Outlook. I was able to send mails from Dynamics but now when am trying to send, I'm getting a failed delivery message :- 

 

'Remote Server returned '550 5.7.501 Service unavailable. Spam abuse detected from IP range. For more information please go to go.microsoft.com/fwlink. S(2017052602) [DM5PR22MB0601.namprd22.prod.outlook.com]' . 

 

However, I'm able to send mails from Outlook on behalf of the same email id, but mails are not being sent only from Dynamics. Does anyone have a solution for this problem?

I have an on Premise version of CRM 2011 using ADFS and Excel and Outlook 2016. Both users have the Dynamics for outlook plugin installed and can Export to Excel themselves and refresh the files they have created without issue.

The problem is that they cannot refresh each others Excel files. The query looks to be running but doesn't bring back any results. I will follow up with full details of the versions and specifics around error messages shortly but wondered if anyone else has experienced this? 

I downloaded the xml file (only option) from CRM 2011 using IE, opened in Excel and saved as XLSX. I can open and refresh as the current user but when another user tries to refresh on their machine it doesn't refresh.

The query is still in the file but I am wondering if there is something sinister going on with connections and ADFS with an older version of CRM? This does not happen with our online version of D365.
