Hi Everyone,
We needed to update e-mail fields after Email:Status Reason equals [Received] so we created a Workflow in CRM under Process Center -> Processes to:
1. Change the record status of the e-mail from "Received" to "Draft"
2. Update the "Regarding" field to a specific Contact (ex. myself)
When we run this On-Demand Workflow the "Regarding" field is updated to myself but the body of the e-mail is deleted or removed!!
- We have tried to copy the body back in by adding the operator "{Description(Email)}" into the body but this causes a lot of formatting issues, specifically spacing.
- NOTE: We believe this is due to Carriage Returns and Line Feeds being added in with the original e-mail body text.
- We have tried changing different fields, like "Category", and NOT changing the "Regarding" field but the e-mail body/description still goes away, although the "Category" field is updated.
The main issue is that the body/description of the e-mail disappears once a field is updated by the workflow.
Anybody have any suggestions on how to update e-mail properties through workflow while not losing the body of the e-mail?
