Populating Outlook Calendars with CRM 2013 Service Calendar Entries

Our engineers, who are sold out on a daily basis, currently have their jobs managed through Outlook. The current system uses one Group calendar for all engineers where all jobs are entered and then each individual is added as a Invite so that it appears locally to them in their personal calendars.

Given the quantum of engineers the view we have in the calendar is verging on unusable and so I want to move to using the service function in CRM 2013 on-prem.

Rather than set up each engineer as a User I have created them as Facilities and Equipment.

The Service Calendar populates perfectly and the visual on availability/utilisation plus the additional benefits of reporting are great. The challenge I have is that the Service Calendar entry doesn't create an entry in the engineers local outlook calendar and when I use an automated workflow to create an appointment CRM doesn't send the appointment invite in the same way that outlook would.

Anyone any great ideas for this one?
