Is there any way to have the plus sign go directly to creation of a new record rather than displaying the search field?
I have a Case with a sub-grid to Purchase Order. When the + sign is clicked the user has to search Purchase Orders, which isn't right since there are no purchase orders related to the Case yet. The sub-grid is configured as Related records only.
Also, from a Case a user creates Purchaser Order. Within the Purchaser Order they create a line item (another entity), so that by the time they're done there arethree windows open; none of them with Save and Close buttons. The only way to close them is to use the window control. That's a difficult user experience to sell.
