I want to send out an email campaign through CRM 2011. I want to send this campaign to 2000+ leads. I want it to look like it's coming from the owner of the records. All replies should go to the owner of the record. I also want to track opens.
The email i will be sending out is basic..no need for images.
What i was thinking of doing is setting up a marketing list and campaign and sending the email using CRM. To track I was thinking of setting up PowerEmail, although I'm not 100% sure how this will look yet, their demo doesn't offer any info about tracking campaigns.
My two biggest concerns are:
1) Will sending so many emails through CRM put me in any risk of being blacklisted? I would have an unsubscribe button and my physical address on all emails. Some of my colleagues were concerned that doing this through CRM as opposed to MailChimp or ExactTarget would be too risky.
2) Will PowerEmail provide the tracking I need? I know they show if an individual email has been opened. But will i be able to look at a campaign and tell how many of the emails have been opened? If not is there something better? We use ExactTarget within our company, but before I got here it was looked at and considered too difficult to integrate with CRM 2011. They were told that we'd need to hire someone to integrate it and that it'd cost too much.
