I am using Visual Studio 2012 and on premise Dynamics 365, and the Visual Studio template project for Dynamics CRM. When I click on View> CRM Explorer in Visual Studio, I enter the credentials (CRM discovery user name, authentication details etc). I then select the Organization from the drop down list - however the window immediately closes and it does not let me select the Solution Name. Subsequently no CRM Explorer is displayed.How to solve the Error.

I was assigned to find a solution for our old CRM system. This CRM has been upgraded to CRM 365. There are still some forms which call functions based on a old tool: XrmSrvToolkit. This tool is't supported by the CRM 365.
But i noted that this tool is open source. In theory, i can create my new web resource and copy the javascript code as libary. Then the called functions should still work. Has somebody any exprience about that?

We’re using the CrmServiceClient class in XrmTooling to connect to CRM (migrating away from Xrm.Client) and we’re encountering issues when using either ADFS and Office365 authentication with regards authentication token expiry.
With Xrm.Client, this was handled transparently, but this does not seem to be the case when using the IOrganizationService methods directly from the CrmServiceClient class, rather than from the nested OrganizationServiceProxy class.
When looking through the code, there doesn’t seem to be anything in place, like there is with the Xrm.Client assembly, is there something we’ve missed?

We have recently updated our Dynamics On Premise (non IFD) to the latest version and latest updates.
I've been asked to implement Project and can see that Dynamics Online has Project Service Automation to install at an additional cost.
Can this be utilised on premise? As I can't figure out how this would download to us. The Dynamics Marketplace button in service doesn't work and has never worked, so not sure if it is supposed to be here.

I am using Pre-operation Event Pipeline Stage of Execution. It isn't throwing any exception/error. but it is also not updating total field.
I have tried to use service.Update(entity);
but it throws exception like Mobile with id='xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx' not exist.

I'm trying from some time to set up an new Email Server profile(pop3/smtp) but I still getting an error:
Here are setting and I tried all versions(even with the default ports).
- for this email app I used the same settings and is running without an issue.
- a few weeks ago a I setted up another Email Server Profile(pop3/smtp) in this case was a GMAIL Server, for the first time I received the same error but after a few tries I solved.
So now I have 2 Email Server Profiles, Microsoft Exchange Online and a Gmail Server, I'm trying to set another one but I can't!

we are about to migrate our Exchange 2013 to the cloud. We are using server side sync at the moment.
Can we continue using server side sync as long as we have an Exchange server with the corresponding "mail user" or does the user have to "be" on this server?
I only found one forum post that said, never tested and others refer to hybrid as "crm on prem and exch online" which does not work with CRM 2013.

I have attempted to add the fields in two ways as shown below -
Select the fields individually and add to the body
Dear{Title(Reviewer 1 (Contact))} {Last Name(Reviewer 1 (Contact))}
Add the fields together
Dear {Title(Reviewer 1 (Contact));Last Name(Reviewer 1 (Contact))}
in both of these cases i expect the Title and Surname to populate but only the title populates on the email and the additional field seems to be dropped.
I have looked around for answers but have not come right with any hoping someone has seen this and has a possible solution?

I have used global variables in my plugin, in that case the unique sequence number which is being fetched from database got repeated for entity records.
How to overcome this situation.

There appears to be a bug, and I am trying to determine if it is related to our Product or to Base CRM. When using the Global Search feature in Dynamics CRM 2016, sometimes the text does not appear when typing.
Starting out from my home page, the text does appear when typing.
After clicking through a few areas of the system, and going back to the global search, the letters that I am typing do not appear anymore.
Here is a screen shot where I highlighted the "white" text in the search bar to show it was there.
The global search is still working as expected in both scenarios, I just can't see the text as I am typing sometimes.
